I heard a noise when using the wipers, but didn't think much of it at first. When the window was clean, I noticed the circular pattern on the driver's side.

Why didn't Audi just leave it as the old normal U shaped attachment. People have a problem with this design breaking in snow country which then scratches the windshield....plus you can only buy the wiper from an Audi dealer. I'm buying an addtional passenger side wiper so I have something to install on either side in the event that the attachment breaks...remember Pep Boys or others will never sell a wiper with this noncoventional(lousy) design. The design also prevents the use of rubber membrane covered winter blades. I will be looking at seeing if the old Gen 1 wiper arms will fit the Gen 2 so I can use winter blades....this is really needed here in NE PA as the blades usually freeze in the wet snow storms and OEM blades are then worthless to see were you are going.
