Kicker KX400.1 Amp/HS12L5 Solo-Baric 12" square sub
I plan to integrate the above into my BOSE and the installer said he could have both the BOSE amp/sub and this new addition working together so if I need to haul luggage I can take out the Kicker's and have the old setup back. The amp will be mounted on the sub box. I am just looking for some more oomph and I don't mind paying $ for quality.
Need some opinions please...thanks!

is definitely more than enough! Especially if the box is made right... you should have no problem, good choice :-) I run a JL amp with mine....

that's a nice install in the side for the Sub. Is there any difference really between the 10" and the 12"? I would rather prefer your type of install than getting a 12" inside a box. How much did it cost to install just the sub? Was there any custom work done? Nice place for the AMP too.
thanks!
thanks!

I did the install myself, it's all fiberglass. I was going to use the 12" but couldn't get enough airspace. I think the 12 would give a little more bass at higher volumes but this setup works great for me. My days off 2 12's and no trunk are over! :-) I would think a good stereo shop should be able to make a box like that for around $400. It cost me $50 in material and about a week to do it. Hope that helps.

I have my factory bose sup still hooked up and then they added my amp and my sub box with my two tens in it. If i need to use the trunk I just disconnect the box and take it out. It still have the factory sub for the lowend.
