I busted two of my tires in a pothole the size of a canyon and I want to buy some all seasons. Recommendations welcome, but reviews preferred

I have a 2000 BMW 328iA which came from the factory with 225/45R17 Conti SportContact tires. At 45,000 miles I needed new tires but didn't replace them with new SportContacts as the ride was always too harsh.
I chose the Conti ExtremeContact tires as a replacement due primarily to price which was very attractive. After 4,000 miles I can say I am happy with the Conti ExtremeContact tires. The ride is softer than the SportContacts which pleases me very much and the handling seems to be the same. Traction in rain and light snow seems to be much better than the SportContacts. The new tires are a bit noisier than I would like but the noise level is acceptable. Note that the Conti ExtremeContact has a directonal tread--something that I was not told before I bought the tires. This might be a problem in some circumstances if you have a flat tire.
Hope this helps.

Tons of user reviews, searchable by car and type of tire.

i would def. get them. They dont last as long as say the michilins that came with my car but they are so much better in both snow and dry performance. They are not loud, they handle rain and snow like champs and i have pushed them insanely hard on dry and they have always been predictable and stable. I would buy another set from what i have experienced.
