Need new tires, anyone have experience with Continental ContiExtremeContact???

very good summer and rain tires but to be honest my all-season michelin pilots (215-55-16) perform better in the snow than the ContiExtremes (235-40-18) that I had. Because of the wider contact patch of the tire, it tended to ride over snow than to cut through it, and that sometimes made me feel that I had limited control of my car. Narrower tires will always perform better in the snow.

I'm sure that if I had this tire in a 16" size it would be great in the snow. I don't think most people want to run their "cool 16's" in the summer.

Wet and dry traction is great, has traction in snow but still wouldn't attempt steep hills. We had some nasty snowstorms here this winter but I was able to get wherever I was going with a good route selection.
