Default Am I the only with a so-so review? I had these tires for a whole year, ....(more)

very good summer and rain tires but to be honest my all-season michelin pilots (215-55-16) perform better in the snow than the ContiExtremes (235-40-18) that I had. Because of the wider contact patch of the tire, it tended to ride over snow than to cut through it, and that sometimes made me feel that I had limited control of my car. Narrower tires will always perform better in the snow.

The tire size limited it's peformance in snow. Your comparison isn't good.

Default Of course it is. My review is valid for someone who wants a good all-season low profile tire.

I'm sure that if I had this tire in a 16" size it would be great in the snow. I don't think most people want to run their "cool 16's" in the summer.

Default Mine have been very good

Wet and dry traction is great, has traction in snow but still wouldn't attempt steep hills. We had some nasty snowstorms here this winter but I was able to get wherever I was going with a good route selection.

I love mine. I actually bought ContiWinterContact because I liked my Extremes so much.
