Default need to replace the vacuum hose going into my intake manifold

<center><img src="https://www.audiworld.com/tech/pics/eng89_pict00217.jpg"></center><p>While performing the Seafoam treatment on my intake manifold, I broke the vacuum hose (see image above where the hose has been disconnected and replaced with the vinyl tubing).

It doesn't look like this hose is too hard to replace myself and I'm just checking with you guys to see if it's as simple as it looks. Will I need any special tools to get to the other end of the hose?

Also, does anyone have the part number so I can call the dealership and request it specifically?

Thanks in advance.

Default How about snipping the hose, as needed to remove the bad end, there should be enough to pull...

the clean hose end onto the fitting. How much would need to be snipped off to remove the bad end? The hose comes off a bulk roll, just get enough as needed.

Default Yeah, that's what I'm doing right now but there's SO little slack that ...

I had to run the hose between the first and second pipes to make it reach, not under and around as usual. So now the hose is touching the IM, which is not good. Besides, the whole hose feels like it's about to go ...

Default I see. The hose replacement is kind of a PIA, as the other end goes to the solenoid valve ...

under the manifold. I think the clamp on the other end is easily overcome, just use a proper sized replacent clamp. Don't break the fitting on the solenoid valve!
New cotton jacket hose is available at most EURO part houses.

Default Does the hose need to be cotton jacketed?

What do you think of these?<ul><li><a href="http://www.forgemotorsport.com/content.asp?inc=product&amp;catalog=0022VT&amp;cat =0022VT">Forge Vacuum Hoses</a></li></ul>

Default

No jacket not required. The silicon hoses are the hot setup for sure.

Default 4mm is stock...

5 may provide better DV response, but it would be minimal. For stock uses, 4mm is best.

I have a GIAC chip w/ Forge 007 DV ... should I go w/ 5mm or is that overkill?

Default if you neeed to replace that hose you need to replace all of those hoses.

they all get krusty. there's 4 i think.

two on that side. maybe two near the dv/n75

check all the other rubber parts too.

the heat kills almost all of those hoses at the same time.
