Anyone know what this piece is?

Found it lying here, where the circle is, when i opened the hood. Kinda hard to see the circle.

no i took it to some place for a $30 install, and it was a while ago, so im guessing this thing has been loose for a while, but do i still need this piece?

It's the hose that you use with your stock airbox. You don't need it unless you're going back to..
stock. It use to connect to the hose where your small filter is now connected to.
