Default Need suggestions for 3.0 rear brake replacements...

Well I found out that my rear brake pads and rotors need to be replaced. I have been quoted between $300-400 to replace. But, since I am broke I am going to do this myself. So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of good pads/rotors I could order online. It turns out my neighbor owns a car performance business and offered to let me use his lift (in his garage) as well as to show me how to install the pads/rotors. So hopefully I will save quite a bit of money and I will learn how to do this if I need to later down the line. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Default From what I have read on this forum once I am in your shoes I plan on going with

Hawk HPS or Mintex Red pads and Zimmerman rotors from ECS for my rear brakes.

Default I used Hawk HPS on all 4 corners

The back brakes were a bit of a pain, but doable..
I forgot that the rear caliper piston is threaded and also requires to be compresses as you turn it. I bought the generic tool and just used that and a "C" clamp.

Default Make sure your neighbor has the rear piston tool, or borrow it from Autozone.

And Hawk HPS are fine pads, but kinda dusty.
