so I bought the trolly jack thing from jc whitney and finally got around to using it to change a flat today. I get the car jacked up and all of a sudden I hear a crashing noise and my car drops. Luckily it fell on the lifting rail and the car landed on the jack. I quickly put the wheel back on and dropped the jack back down now my question is what should I do about this? call jc whitney? the jack scratched my sideskirt a little bit but the damage is minor and could have be alot worse possible injuring someone. anyway here is a pic or the aftermath...and a word of advise to anyone be carefull when using this item..in my opinion it should be aluminum or steel and not plastic,....any advise is welcomed thanks Joe

Default where'd you have it placed? I've never been able to use mine, as the block hits the underside of

the car. they never have made any sense to me. just collect dust in my garage.

glad you're ok

Default I'd at least

write a detailed letter and assume that simply for good customer relations they would refund your $$ It may very well be a recall issue. Im glad you and your rotor are OK!

Default there is nothing wrong with polymers. I know of people who use theirs (not JC Whitney) jack pads

for years without issues and on a weekly usage basis. Perhaps the JC Whitney material is too brittle or just wasn't positioned correctly to take the weight load.

Default in the normal jack point......the only reason I got it was cause my jack wont reach the rail because

of my sideskirts....and it was positioned correctley made sure
