Default Been thinking of getting that since my JC Whitney one doesn't fit...

Default I can't fit those under my car

They're freakin huge! Need a really low profile jack to use them with. I have one that's absolutely good for nothing until I get a lower jack.

Default My experience

I have one of those JC Whitney blocks.

I also have 2 jacks - one normal, one 'low profile'.

The block fits perfect in the normal jack - no problems.

With the low profile jack the pad fits, but did notice that the jack pad/cup did not come up nicely around the inside of the block.

What happened when I started to jack the car is that the block started to load unevenly and start to angle/tilt on the jack. I took one look at that and stopped using it on the low profile jack.

Do you know if the block was loaded evenly, or could you see if it was starting to tilt as you were raising the car?

Default Actually mine cracked this past Sunday...

I was using it to change the wheels at heartland park, and I was using a harbor freight lightweight jack. I jacked the car up, heard a loud crack, and lowered it back down to discover that the block had cracked on the bottom, but was still in one piece. It did end up cracking in two after I finished changing the last wheel.

Upon closer inspection the reason became obvious... The middle of the block, the round center section on the bottom, is slightly higher than the 4 bottom corners of the block. So nothing is supporting the center, where all the weight is concentrated. This was made worse by me removing the rubber pad on the jack support, where the block goes.

Since mine broke in 2 pieces, I am going to try and glue it back together with some strong glue. I will have to put it in a vice though, because it stressed the block and it does not line up evenly at the edges anymore.
