Need your honest opinion if you were in my shoes

My car was welded back together after some lady rear ended me at 50mph. Basically, they cut the car from the rear quarter glass and welded on a complete new section and put in a new rear glass. How much a hit would this be to the car's value. I ask this because I'm thinking about trading it in and getting another car. If I try to sell it myself, as soon as I tell a buyer what happened they'll probably run. I don't want to sell it to somebody with kids. Could I trade it in and use it toward the purchase of an S4? Or should I just pay it off, keep it and instead get a G35 coupe. Oh and yesterday someone hit me in the parking lot at work and didn't even have the decency to leave a note so now a bumper and fender needs to get fixed. The body shop did a good job on everything except the paint and I haven't had any problems with the car since the accident. Thanks.

And I think you only have to disclose if the damage was over a certain amount? From my experience, most dealers won't care too much if the damage is minor. Something that big, they're going to care though.
