I have a CEL from the chip and the fault code says:
1 Fault Found:
17956 - Boost Pressure Regulation Valve (N75): Open Circuit
P1548 - 004 - No Signal/Communication
Readiness: 0000 0000
Has anyone had this same code and if so, what exactly is going on? Can I fix it? Thanks! Robin

you probably just blew the goofy Audi OEM BPV...go get an aluminum Forge 007 BPV and have it installed for 40 or 50 bucks...this way it wont crack apart every 20K miles like the OEM tends to do with chipped cars.
What is your car driving like? did you lose a little bit of boost? in chip mode, do you feel like stock? then it is probably that.

fix that, and you can do it by clearing codes with the VAG.
I recommend doing it before your next dealer visit because they know that the code means someone/somehow the ECU was disconencted from its base, telling tales of a possible chip.
The boost pressure, from my experience is common, and could be signs that the BPV, or something else in the boost system is failing. Odds are its just a signal to the ECM regarding the BPV. The new chip is making the car run differenty and stronger.
Not sure which actually threw on the CEL, but I do know that I can have that boost fault in my car for 1000's of miles with no CEL.
Your best bet is to find a person near you with VAG, clear the codes, and if the problem is bad enough, wait for the CEL again. Odds are, if you do get another CEL, it'll reflect the boost again, and not the second code.
It is worth a shot and since you say the car feels and runs fine, there's no other reason not to clear the codes and wait for the error again.
also, search the archives for the DTC number. Just type in the DTC number and see what comes up.

pressure. It is worth the money, will not crack, and will save many stressful and sweaty trips to the dealer. for 150 bucks, you can further hide form the dealers - because if they find out that a chip caused the boost problem, they will log that you are chipped, and later down the road, when a new problem arises, they will deny a warranty claim cause you are chipped (not always legal, but they do anyway to save a few bucks)

He's an awesome installer too, I've used him before and so has my family. He's very experienced, so I don't know what's going on.

I know, that's the prob, my car needs a service so I have to fix this. So you think that getting a BPV will help?
Thanks.
