Default I Have Ultra Sports and When I Hit 110mph My Car Feels Unsafe As Well... read on...

Does not feel buttoned like BMW or Porsche. The suspension feels floaty...

Default Never ever had a new car that came properly aligned from the factory.

I think that's why all dealers I've ever been to allow for a free alignment within the first 10-12k miles. My audi dealer will do one every year for free.

Default Even at 60mph on a A4 1.8tqms I drove before felt somewhat "floaty."

I have aftermarket suspension on my B5 A4, so maybe the B6 felt floaty.

Default Thank you all. I'll consider all your thoughts and report back........

One last thing that I think is... this is the first time I drive 215 width tires and maybe wider tires follow the road treads much more and I am not used to it ?

Default "floaty" is the word for it. I hit about 100+ this weekend heading to reno and back

and yes at times, it feels like one twitch on the steering wheel and I'll be on another lane or farther. then again, my only comparison is a non power steering GTi and my old baby was dropped pretty low.

After a while, I was pretty confident that my 2003 A4 stock sport was stable on it's 17" summer tires.

wider tires should feel more stable...I think it's the small wheels and soft suspension.

Default Yes but my normal suspension ( softer than A4) A3 1.8T is very stable with 195/65/15 tires.

Weird stuation.I'll try and test all the stuff again .Tire pressures, alignment, different road surface ,etc.
Maybe ,now I realized , it is the difference of steering wheel feeling b/c A4 has way much sensitive ( soft is the word maybe ) steering wheel both at slow and high speeds.
