New A4 Owner - Question #1 - Bose stereo is too boomy
Hi All,
I'm a new Audi owner. Actually, the car is my wife's ("but I drive it too"). I could go on and on about my thoughts on this car, but suffice it to say I am an Audi convert and when it's time for me to get a new car, it will be at least an A4 and hopefully an S4. Great forum, too!!
She got the Bose package and the problem is that with most CDs, the sound is too boomy. Is there some way to lower the power of the subwoofer, maybe on the subwoofer itself? (And where is it??) I read recently on the forum that the 2004 B6 has no hidden EQ settings. This stereo really begs for a good full-band EQ.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Not adjustable
But, just FYI, the subwoofer is located on the rear hat shelf (where most cars have their normal speakers). If you open the trunk and look up underneath (where the center brake light is), you can see the subwoofer there.
