I could have sworn I saw '05 S4s w/ Premium and Audio listed at audiusa.com for $499/mo and $1995 down for 42k months. That represents a pretty good deal. The best I could get on a loaded left over '04 (similar MSRP) was ~$695/mo with $1500 down, 42k months/miles. This was three weeks ago.

based on the fact that the car is a model year old....Leases will always be better on the latest MY out......regardless of price...residual values are about 3-5% less on 04 models right now.

but many manufacturers provide lease support in the form of low MFs. When Audi was blowing out the last of the '04 S Lines, the MF was microscopic, offsetting the low residual. In fact, it was almost cheaper to lease a well-equipped S Line over a new, loaded '05 A4 3.0.
Keep in mind that there are those on the S4 board who have $850+ lease payments on their S4s and many haven't had their cars very long. $499 plus $2k and tax is a pretty good deal for a $50k car - esp. one that many consider to be rare/exotic.

you are a returning Audi buyer. My last two Audi leases did not require an acq. fee or a sec. deposit. The leases were/are both through AFS.
For comparison, that S4 with $0 cap cost reduction would be $546/mo over 42 months ($1995/42 + $399) excl. tax, titles, fees. My negotiated 39 month/miles lease on my loaded '05 A4 3.0 USP is $540/mo. Yes, it would drop a little ($15-$20/mo) for the lowered mileage, but that's still a hell fo a deal for the S4. And, I would have no problem keeping it for the extra 3 months! If this deal was on the table three weeks ago, I would be driving an S4 right now!
