Default New buyer, help?

Hi everyone, first time poster. I am currently in the market for a used vehicle (definitely leaning towards an audi) and I wanted to know what the consensus is here in terms of reliability on the audi a4's, specifically the 2004 a4 3.0 quattro. Obviously this is an audi forum and I will get bias answers, but to the a4 owners here, honestly, from your experience how is the reliability of your vehicle? Thanks for the help!

Default Mmm I had the 1.8T though

BUT I was quite aino with my maintenance. Overall the car ran great with no problems at all.

There are some people out there that has the same 1.8T and encountered problems.

Default Very few problems on mine in ~20k and 1.5 yrs of ownership (50k-70k).

Had the camshaft tension sensors replaced just before warranty ran out, and other than maintenance I've had to replace a few control arms, a radiator (radiator was my own fault) and just recently all the coil packs b/c 2 or 3 failed.

Default If you have to ask...

You know how some things are so expensive that if you have to ask, you can't afford it? Well, if you have to ask about Audi reliability, you should probably move on. If you must have AWD, go Subie. If you have to have an Audi (like we all did), you want a CPO car and you want a dealership that will give you a loaner instead of saving them for the 911 and A8 owners. If you want reliability, say away from anything German. Your car may go 50000 miles without so much as an oil change, or you may become a reluctant DIYer just to keep the thing on the road. These cars are beautiful, drive like a dream, and impress your friends. They are also slow and quirky and expensive to maintain. Just my 2 cents.
