Default New guy with an '04 1.8TQ Tip

Well sorta. I was supposed to pickup my car tomorrow but due to the oil tanker mess on I95, my car didn't get to the dealer in time to be ready. Now I have to wait until Monday. Aaaaargh!

Thanks. I would be less angry if I could drive it this weekend. It's light silver with sports, lighting, premium and cold packages. I could do without the rocketeer helmet thing on the roof, but I guess I'll get used to it.

Default I'm sure it will be a conversation starter.

I'll tell people it's so I can communicate with the Audi mothership.

Keep tabs on the oil level, even at delivery.

I'll make sure to check. Anything else I should look out for?

Default do a thorough inspection of the car before you sign anything and take delivery

check for damage and ask them to fix it. run your hands on the surface to check the paint (sometime ago one person got duped into buying a 'fixed' up car). Take delivery of your car in the daytime if possible!

I'm picking it up in Monday afternoon so there should be plenty of daylight. I made it clear to them not to wash the car as I don't want any dealer installed swirls. I can be very picky.

Dealers use Audi silicone wax and new cheesecloth, should be ok.
