Default New manifold...

I saw that quattrorocket had a new manifold and I was wondering what the benefit of such a thing would be, besides the typical answer of faster spool of the turbo.

BHVRDR, you said that there is a tubular one that puts out like 15hp on a a K04? Where can I get that? I guess I am just now starting to realize the ultimate potential of the K04... Add that manifold to my list of FMIC, Test Pipe, Intake, Full exhaust, and Revo with injectors... could be nice, yes?

Default I emailed David and...

He said that Revo does not supply the beta unit for that program for the 05 so... I think that I may just wait and see what he can do. Also, I am not sure how long i will be able to hold on on the stock turbo, so i figure that revo would be best if i ever do upgrade to a K04. what do you think?

I may even talk to my Audi dealer and see what i can do to get him to keep my warranty if I go K04... I think he may let me do the swap. but i will call him tomorrow as well. I think he is just worried that i will go with a big GT series and that will require a lot of changes. If I go K04, then it is a little more straight forward and it is still a KKK turbo and he knows how to work on those (i.e. TT has a K04-23)

Default The K04 uses the same housing as the K03 so it is doubtful a dealer would even know it is there...

Default Yes, it does appear to look the same, but...

ZWhta happens when they go and do their diagnostics? Am I going to have to change my injectors every time i go in too? how does that work? i already know that i am going to have to change out the test pipe...

Default I would only change that stuff out if you have a major failure...

Otherwise they are using the vag-com to do diagnostics and the injectors wont show anything fishy. Swapping the injectors would be nothing, though compared to swapping the test pipe. The injectors take 20 minutes to swap. cheers! Mike

Default Totally up to you. If you want to look stock, you could just port and polish your...

stock manifold and get a junk yard cat and hollow it out. If your going to start swapping exhaust parts, then I suppose going with the dnperformance one would be the one I would choose. cheers! Mike

Default The manifold I installed has shown nice increases for a K04 GTi ...

Unfortunately there are no 4 wheel dynos local to me to test it out.
