New member with new Ultrasport
Hi everyone. Just joined AudiWorld. I have an Ocean Blue 2004 3.0 Ultrasport / 6-speed / Premium / Telematics / Sunshades.
First, thanks to the AW administrator and everyone here for all the knowledge I've already gained by browsing this site! Now I have a few observations, a question or two, and some info that will hopefully be useful to someone out there:
1) I LOVE this car. So many things that are great about it...
2) I have the squeaky rear seat latch, too.
3) Drive-by-wire throttle calibration is not good. I did the 'throttle body adaptation' described on this site and I believe it helped some, but throttle response is still slow and non-linear. Anything that can be done with a VAG-com?
4) At my request, Invinca-Shield has designed a clear-bra for the Ultrasport front/lower bumper, and some pieces that go on the lower body behind the tires (as an alternative to mud-flaps). They're up on the invinca-shield.com website.
5) For 2004, at least with Telematics, I believe the factory phone wiring has changed. I have taken apart the connector and pulled my stereo head unit to investigate. Audi has stopped selling the V60 kit, and they say a new/updated kit will be available sometime in March. I'll post more on this as a separate topic, since the whole phone installation issue seems to come up a lot here.
Thanks. Looking forward to many happy days as an Audi owner. Any ideas on the DBW throttle calibration would be appreciated!

Welcome. If you haven't done so already, please see our B6 FAQ (see sig);
As for for DBW issue, it is something we have all seen on the current A4 and A6, but no resolutions/workarounds yet.

Re: Bigger if you take out the 't'...
Thanks... I also had to go back and 'smudge' out my license plate, then re-post. So, the 3 pics should be in my pic poster correctly now.
Gotta do some work :-(
