Had my non-sport suspension on my 3.0 replaced with a set of Bilstien shocks and Eibach springs on Wednesday. Really handn't driven the car much on Thursday or Friday (just on back roads back and forth to the train station), but today I took the car for a 25 minute highway trip to the mall. Aside from the increased effects of feeling more of the small bumps in the road I was very surprised that when I would hit a little rise and fall in the road how harsh the car seemed to hop and down.
Maybe it will just take getting use to this new ride over the cushy ride of the non-sport suspension but I didn't think that going over bumps on the highway at 75 mph would feel like this.
Will the new springs ease up a little as they break in or could something be wrong with the installation that is making the car hop like this?

I am certainly no expert, but with the oem suspension the shocks have more travel and the car will rise and settle more gradually although softer. WIth the firmer suspension it is a quick and short ride up and down causeing that effect. I hope I am explaining myself correctly. If thats what it is you will undoubtedly get used to it. Thats also if I am right. Has the vibration cleared up?

I have actually been very impressed with how the car feels when going over seems between bridges/overpasses and the road. Not as harsh and load as I had feared. Its the rise and falls in the road that have me a bit wigged out right now.
The vibration is gone.

Man,,, I am sorry to hear that its not feeling right on the rises and falls. Hopefully as it all breaks in it will ease up a bit. Glad that the vibration is gone.

been there - done that....
I switched to OEM sport shocks with eibach springs after battling the aftermarket suspension harshness game.
The ride is now certainly smoother and with the added S4 sway, corning and body roll is still reduced.
