New tire suggestions... Toyo Proxes 4? Toyo Proxes T1-S?
I need to get new tires. I am mainly looking for good summer tires, but I would not mind having snow driving capability either, for those just in case trips.
I have been looking at the Toyo Proxes 4s... does anyone have these on their car? How quiet/loud is it? How is rain/snow performance and how is dry performance. I don't push my car to the limits, but just in case something happens I would like to have safe tires.
I know that the T1-Ss are not all season tires, but how do they perform in rain? How quiet are they? I heard that dry performance is excellent on those tires.
Also, about how long are these tires going to last approximately (in miles)?
Thank you,
dombi

Okay I will chime in here:
The Proxes 4 is an all season ultra high performance tire that you will get approx 35K in mileage on them. They are mud and snow rated but I would only use them in light snow. Since they are rated as an ultra high performance tire, you will have some of the advantages of the T1S but you may sacrifice some performance due to the all season designation.
The T1S is the ultra high performance summer tire that you will get around 20K to 25K on them (I got 23k on mine). They are not mud and snow rated and therefore do not do well in those situations. Both are do very well in wet weather....if you need further info, check out our website...or contact me direct at youngc@toyotires.com........also make sure your pressures are correct for the size that you have and they should preform as expected...if you are plus sizing, you need to adjust your pressures accordingly...do not go by the vehicle placard for anything but the OE sizes. This is a common mistake and an issue that has been addressed here quite often.

http://www.toyo.com</a
