Default Newbie Questions

1) Some Audi-owners told me that I don't need any run-in time because all Audi engines are pre-run-in during assembly. True or not?

2) Is a turbo timer neccessary for this car?

Thanks in advance.

Absolutely not. You're engine needs 1,200 mile break-in.

2) Is a turbo timer neccessary for this car?
Not neccessary, but it's a convenience.

1) Wrong, you need to break the car in for at least 1,000 miles.

2) I'd say it's not necessary, bu then again, I have a 3.0, so I don't know for sure.

Default Turbo Timer not necessary but a convenience...

But if you don't get one, you should take the precautions of a cool down period. Either for the last few minutes of your commute, driving slowly, at low revs to cool down the engine-oil. Or by parking, and leaving the car on for a minute or two to let it cool that way.

Default No need for a turbo timer

If you either let the car cool down a minute or two before shutting down, or driving calmly the last couple miles.

They are really for people who don't want to worry about it.
