Default No new threads = boring = my post (originally in Wheels/Tires)

Hey all...

I am interested in picking up a set of 19" RS6 reps for my 2004 USP.

I've seen another poster on here who had a b6 a4 (not USP) but did have stock sport suspension sitting on 19" Rs6's.... he said everything rides well w/ no rub, etc.

Difference is... he lives in Texas (I think) and I'm guessing their roads are a little better down there.

anyone have experience with 19" rims on a stock sport suspension b6 in Michigan or other "northern" states? Just want to make sure that this isn't a stupid thing to do...

Car currently has 18" USP rims with 235/40/18 Conti-sport 2's on it....

TIA

You'll be fine although I prefer running 18's (Toronto, Canada).

Default It is a stupid thing to do if you take the added rolling resistance into account. Those 19" reps

are HEAVY.

Default i would never run 19s (I live in Buffalo, NY). too heavy and roads are full of potholes waiting to

bend a wheel or two. YMMV of course.

Default heavy/slow - but they are so sweet looking

In my opinion, the 19" vs 18" just looks so much bigger.

Does Hartmann sell these? Are the "reps" heavier than "real" rs6 rims?

Default what about these.... (link inside).... calling MikTip

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-Fits-Audi-A4-A6-A8-S6-S8-V8-RS4-RS6-TT-wheels-rims_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43958QQihZ019QQite mZ290237656005QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Anyone ever buy rims from EBay... they are about 100 dollars cheaper PER rim than Hartmann.

MikTip - where do you live... any issues with bending rims on potholes? Where did you buy your rs6's?

Default Where I live, the roads are actually pretty good!

The secret is use the 19's for summer, and the OEM 18's for winter ;o)

To date, the RS6's have held up fine.

Got wheels and tires from here-

http://www.discounttiredirect.com</a
