When you turn wheels lock to lock your rack cycles all of the fluid back to the reservoir....fluid carries the metal shavings...yes, you can't possibly pull all of it out but most of it comes out I would think. If you do it often enough you would be fine.

I actually think they specialize in used parts but carry all essential fluids. They carry Pentosin 7.1 and 11s(synthetic). But you can get it online too.

Honestly, I would do it once a year....it's a 1-2hrs job and easy DIY.
