Default I think with my setup and living in CA on 91 Octane, it's just logical to run a FMIC

But the Duals are still a good setup and will work well with K04 and E05 kits, a couple of guys here run them and their arguments seem intelligent to why they're going with them. I used to argue for them as well. Anthony at GS did his own tests, and found the Duals to perform equal to his FMIC, but I'm not sure what FMIC he was running. After running both to me it's pretty clear which is better.

Default Thanks for the offer, but I already sold it to a fellow T28 buddy...

If you can believe that! He wants an OEM look, I want a more aggresive look. I even asked him how he'd feel if I posted this, he said go for it, let's get the info out there. I gave him a really good deal though.

Default I was waiting for your reply!!!

I admire your posts and your opinions, you give some pretty good arguments for the Duals. I tried to drill holes in the Wheel wells but there's too much stuff there. I don't think it would do anything, B5 setup is different. Also remember he RS6 is a Dual turbo setup, each side IC is cooling only one turbo. The TT setup is comparable though, but a different engine setup.

Default His was the first prototype

He's at 1.3 bar, PES tuned it, right now mine is under a bar, GIAC is tuning hopefully before the month is over. I'm gonna go up to 1.5 bar, hopefully I'll be at or over 300HP. Car has been running fine even at the conservative boost rate.

Default That's what they told me too, but with the Caractere bumper

I think running any FMIC you're gonna have to cut, there's just no room on the sides. Can't tell that I cut it though.

Default Also remember less Turbo lag and pressure loss is another main reason for FMIC

A single FMIC will reduce compared to the duals, it's more responsive. The radiator fans will cool the car when it's idiling as well. Heatsoak was not even an issue with the FMIC and the AC is still working great, coolant temps are the same as well.

Default Difference in???

Well there is little to no heatsoak if thats what you mean.

If you mean a hp gain there was none.

As far as stable boost response, it was hard to tell off the bat. I got it when I had just installed a XS boost controller and was having fun there while trying to stay out of limp mode.
