No, but I just noticed that too...

I'm not sure why, gonna check into it. I may get a Carbon Fibor hood, but I'd paint it, not crazy about the black hood look.

I think Audi has the temperature already balanced for fuel efficiency, smog, and power. Too much...

...cooler or hotter will throw off the whole setup. Greedspeed did say something though about someone coming out with a lower temp thermostat but it's really a pain to get to.

You should be able to easily adjust the hood so that it lines up flush with the fender.
