Default Octane Boost...Does it really work????

This is for those of us that have to use the crappy 91 octane gas in California. I know most people mix 91 Octane with 100 octane race gas to come up with 93-95 octane,(I forget the mixture ratio)Has anyone tried plane old octane boost or the several similiar products that you can buy at any automotive store? How many points does it raise your octane? Just curious, I havent found any race gas readily available in the Redondo Beach South Bay area. Any Inputs???

I'll use a 30% mix of Toluene occasionally and the car really likes it.

If you don't have software designed for the 94, will the ECU automatically adjust for it?

It wont take full advantage but it will adjust. It'll just not pull as much timing.

Default I see, I wasn't sure if normal Revo software is tuned for 91 or 94

If it's tuned for 94 then you would see a performance increase, and with 91 it would just pull timing until it's fine. If it's tuned for 91 then 94 is just more expensive. I don't have an SPS3 otherwise I could really play with it.
