Odd Whining Noise from Steering

My 02 A4 will make a progressive grinding, whining noise when turned either left or right, particularly in the morining when the car is first started. The farther I turn in either direction, the louder the noise. Any thoughts??

Check the power steering fluid level.

My make a slight squeaking noise when I turn, but not all the way...?!

Don't know if anyone has the same problem. But will bring to the dealer to check it out.

Your power steering pump may be leaking/fried.
