offset!!!
OK I really have a problem understanding offset. If I get 19"x8.5" rims with a 38 offset in the front and 28 in the rear, then slap some coilovers onto the ride will I rub???

You'd be better off getting 4 of the same wheels and using spacers in the rear...
If you just want a staggered look, go with spacers or else you won't be able to rotate your tires without remounting them every time.
