Oil changes at the dealer every 10,000 miles only?

Different story on the V6. I went 11k/6months a few times on German Syntec.7500/6mo is a breeze...
Just refer to Mobil's line of miles-specific formulas. 5000/7500/15000. A decent dino can go 7500 miles without a hair of concern. If you doubt it, Audi has been recommending 7500 in V6s and non-turbos back 3 or 4 generations of DINO oil specs and formulations. (SH, SJ, SL, SM) Still think 5000 is necessary for a clean engine? Check out Mori's Audi V6 after 122k on Syntec 5w-50 at TEN THOUSAND mile intervals. Sunglasses, anyone?

Re: Get an oil analysis
The best way to determine the optimal mileage for an oil change is to get your dirty engine oil analysised. Its 40 bucks.
