Default Oil leaking / gathering and dripping on exhaust side near head / block and timing cover, puzzled?

Well I know I have witnessed my cam seal leaking even with the engine off. (Damn thing.) My next question is while running can it distribute enough oil to cause an accumulation / drip on the exhaust side of the timing cover / instersection of cylinder head and block?

If not has anyone found the cause for oil in this location, is it the head gasket?

Default 1.8t or 3.0? If its 1.8t, sounds like the valve cover gasket

I did a DIY a few months back that should help you, its a rather easy repair.

Default the continued posts about oil leaks make me wonder...

how did I not have an oil leak until the day my oil flooded out of the car.

I'll have to check that out, but I don't see any seepage thus far. How much for a headgasket instal?

Default head gasket and valve cover gasket are two different things

Valve cover gasket for me only cost me what the part cost. The link to my DIY is in my signature.

Gotcha, just curious what the worst case scenario would run.
