This might sound like a dumb question, but is the ‘OilSensor’ light that comes on the dash simply mean low oil or the sensor that theactual sensor is faulty?
Also I have to top up about every 550 miles, I have heard thatothers have found this too, can you provide feedback?

That one is for oil level. The pressure light is red.
It could either be the actual level or the sensor. Check the level with the dipstick and go from there.

So I checked the dip stick and pleased to say it was still at max, so I was incorrect with needing to to up, happily! I researched the light and it appears that it could be a faulty sensor so need to change, or loose specific fuse which I'll check too.

I wouldn't mess with the fuse, but that's me. It is on the bottom of the oil pan and is literally 3 bolts off and 3 bolts on. Obviously have to do in conjunction with an oil change.
