I've never been there before, but my car was serviced in Jax one time. I used to go to school in Gainesville and my car died and had to be flatbedded all the way to Jax.

Engine quieter and smoother (compared to Mobil1 0W-40). Maybe a tad more power. Good oil. Post you lab results when you get them.

I will gladly post results if anybody interested, even comparison with M1 0W-40 if anybody wants. M1 was excellent, little noisy, I thought I try something different.

They are sticklers for the little things sometimes...never do you any favors and they scratched my paint up in a couple places, but service is always fast and professional.

they seemed to really like my car. I only dealt with them over the phone. Got my car back in the same condition it went to them in with only like .3 miles on the odometer. Can't complain!

There are like 100 oils on it not even sold in NA. German Syntec is definately VW 502 and VW 503.01....it's fatory-fill dammit! Any A3 oil will meet VW 502, fwiw. Another problem is Syntec 5w-30 on the list which is different in NA, not thick enough to meet A3, I confirmed this with Valvoline.

So any oil w/ A3 can meet VW 502, the ONLY difference is cold-cranking and mpg stipulations. A lot of oils can meet A3 but don't bother listing this SELF-REPORTED spec. Instead of listing more good oils, VW tends toward oil cos that paid to be listed. Anyway, imo any 40 weight blend or diesel-rated can meet A3. How do I know? 2 good examples are Durablend 10w-40....carried A3 and so did Chevron Delo 15w-40. MaxLife still has it. Other oils that are perfectly fine are Syntec 10w-40, 5w-50. Mobil Clean 7500 10w-40, Motorcraft, Syntec Blend...any 10w-40. So, in fact A3/VW502 is not an impressive spec. VW 503.01 is better. That means Syntec 0w-30 or Mobil 1 0w-40 or some boutique oils. Pennzoil Platinum is THE sleeper oil.
