After some comments on the looks of my A4 with 18" moda's and stock suspension..(something to the effect of 'gardeners ride' or something : ) I bought som HR coilovers. I consider myself an decent wrench with basic tools. Installing the coilovers looks like a pretty straight forward job. Any suggestions or links on some possible problems I may run into? Also, I'm planning on leaving my stock 16's on for the rest of the winter. Ride quality is by biggest concern, so I'm probably going to set the coilovers to %50. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

50% sounds like a good starting point. That way, you can adjust up or down from there. And once you find the optimal setting, do alignment right away.

Its the perfect blend of everything as far as I'm concerned. Dont know how they fair on the A4, but we on the A6 boards love em. Not too firm, juuuuuuuust right ![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

You make it sound like it's bone jaring. I have H&R coilovers on my car and it's wonderful. The ride quality is still comfortable and the performance is un-matched by any other coilover suspension in my humble opinion.

I'm not to sure on what he means with that but I know when I got mine put on the technician told me that it was pretty difficult because this setup was not the typical coilover that would install easy. He installed H&R coilovers on many cars but he said that this model for the A4 is much different. I would look into getting them installed by a professional and also to get your alignment done too.

You don't really need to adjust the rebound and dampining because H&R have already done a nice job for you. Like I said. I have them on my car and I love them. The ride quality is great and the performance aspect is wonderful. No compliants from me.
