Default You'll need to buy/borrow some spring compressors to remove the rear coil springs...

They can be a PITA to get out. The trick is to use a compressor that you trust and which you don't mind being rough with - even with the spring compressed, you'll need to pull hard to slip it out. I've removed two sets of rear coil springs from the B6. The second set was a lot easier because I had more guts to yank hard on the spring using the tool and equipment I had.

Or you can lower the rear subframe and slip the old springs out and the new ones in.

Default I'll call AWE, they're only about 1.5 hours from...

I'll see if they will install parts that are not purchased through them, what kind of price range I'd be looking at. I would not know who else to trust with my A4. I don't think I'd feel comfortable having a regular shock/strut place install them.

Default Nah, not making it sound that bad, but I did have H&R COs for 2+ yrs...

on my old 2.7T. So, compared to an OEM sport suspension or Eibach Pro-System (which I eventually swapped it out for and sold the COs to another AW member)...yes, H&Rs are more stiff, but liveable to those that prefer it.

Default If you are not far from Philly I would call Woodlawn Foreign Auto, they do good work...

You can do a search for Woodlawn and see many people have used them with good results.
