Ok, so I got the code causing my check engine light. It is P0171. A search shows that this is

Default Good idea. I guess that's what I'll do. Will I need to have someone clear the code so that the CEL
goes out?

Default you have a vacuum leak, look around with the engine running & listen for a hiss
especially around the intake manifold

Default I see that valve cracked alot but rarely if ever a CEL with it, usually the "L" peace pipe
or the check valve that leads to the back of the valve cover

Default Sorry guys. I've been so busy I didn't get to check back in. Yes it's gone.
I took it to Quattrohaus in Newark, NJ, showed Jose the problem, and he fixed it in about 10 minutes for $30. Then he cleared the code for me.
