ok..who thinks i'm nuts for thinking i should try to paint my handbrake button IN the car?

Default ok..who thinks i'm nuts for thinking i should try to paint my handbrake button IN the car?

i haven't had any luck removing the button at the end of the hand brake, and i really want to improve the appearance of it.

I could replace the whole hand brake assembly, but that seems like a whole lot of $$ for just a stupid button...

Default ok for a cheap solution that will look good....

get some very fine sandpaper and sand the chrome off...make sure you sand it all in one direction...when you are finished clean it with lacquer thinner than spray 2-3 coats of clear matte finish on it. it will give it a brushed aluminum look. on my old 99 a4 the tiptronic cover was all pitted so i did that and it looked pretty rocking.
