Default Okay, how can I turn off the audible seat belt alert?

First let me say that I always wear my seat belt when driving.

Having said that, how can I turn off the audible seat belt alert. The alarm seems to go off every 30 seconds or so when ever I am sitting idling or when I reach my destination and unbuckle. Since I don't usually buckle up while my car is warming up in the morning (not driving) the alarm goes off at least twice. It is really starting to get annoying.

I know that I can help to elimate it by buckling up right after startup, but my previous B5 never did this. All it had was a brief dash light. So far in my 250 miles of ownership this is the only thing that I dislike compared to my previous '01 B5.

Is there anything I can do? Is their a setting that I can change the will lengthen the time inbetween alerts?

Thanks.

Default I don't have this problem -

I heard mention of 2004.5 A4s having a new seatbelt reminder; this is probably it. Don't know how to defeat it.

On my '03, when I turn on the car it beeps a few times and displays an indicator light and then shuts off permanently regardless of whether you buckle up or not.

Default So Annoying

I have the same problem. Since its really cold up here in NYC I usually warm the car up for at least 2 minutes. Those 2 minutes in the morning are the worst.

Default Just FYI... I have a 2004.5

It seems I have uncovered yet another small little change form 2004>2004.5
