$800 for a spring and shock install. 10 hours at $80 per hour he says to do this on an A4. He said even 10 hours for just springs. I cannot believe it would take 10 hours to do this.

My dealership told me 4.5 hours at $90 an hour, Eurotech says the dealership is wrong. What do you guys think??

Default I think the rent is due and you walked into the shop.

Or he just plain doesn't want to do it.

Default Re: Dealer is correct. I have changed shocks and springs on other cars, 4 hours sounds right...

this does not count any alignment stuff. Eurotech is trying to screw you to the wall, or
their mechanics are amateurs.

$800?!? Grand larceny. It's a 4 hour job.

Make sure they kiss you first and cuddle with you afterwards. $800 is too much.

I have an 02 A4,w/sport suspension and had a local suspension shop install H&R sport springs, cost me $500, which was reduced. It was right when the springs came out, front suspension takes time.

Default That's nuts...my dealer quoted me 8 hours labor for spring install, alignment, test drive @ 72/hr.

It actually takes between 5-7 hours with alignment and a test drive. I think my total cost was about $550. A good indy shop quoted me $450. I went with my Audi dealer because I trust them and they're good guys.

Default Dude, I would seriously call him back and tell him that no one on Audiworld has never been quoted

more than 8 hours with alignment and a test drive. I've NEVER heard of 10 hours, that's so outrageous it pisses me off.
