which one is better?? 1.8T quattro or 3.0 quattro
I don know which one I should get..
I am gonna modify mine little bit but not too much. just changing exhaust, wheels, and so on. I am not gonna put super charger on it or something like that.
What do you guys think?? any recommendations??

no, I own a 1.8t and agree. We will never have low end torque, smooth delivery, and proper gearing.
It's def. worth it, I just didn't have the money. Sometimes I feel like I can't stand a 4-banger much longer.

I was facing the same decision. (More)
I test drove both and found the 3.0 much more to my liking. Here's what I would do: Test drive them both and get your initial impressions. If the stock 1.8T doesnt cut it for you, and u are not aversed to chipping, then go to an audi get together in your area. Ask someone with a chipped 1.8T to give you a ride, and see what you think.
I prefer the smoothness, low-end grunt, and 6-speed of the 3.0 to the qualities of the 1.8T. The power seats were also a nicety that I wanted. There are a few smaller differences here and there.
Go drive both and decide for yourself. Good luck!

3.0 is better and more expensive; however, only disavantage is hard to mod engine
as in stock form 3.0 is definitely better with much higher price. Unless, you plan to do something with the car 3.0 is the way to go; or if you are concern with fuel mileage.
1.8 can't be more powerful without much worries about reliability or going with bigger turbos that would cost more than a 3.0 and void any warranties. so I say if you afford it and not looking to spend a fortune to get 250hp and poor reliabilty get the 3.0. I have had the 1.8 Avant and that thing has no power without any mod and mileage is not too impressive when driven aggressively. The v6 has much more please tone and flexibility. the 1.8 is almost dead under 1800 rpm

his 722, see this is how crazy one can get carry away with mods and end up spending loads of cash
although I have to admit it's more fun; but all the investment will not show up when you sell your car. Not to put anyone down. But doesn't matter how far he gets he is never doing to have a S4 type of reliable performance
