Default Opinion: '02 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro vs. '02 BMW 325Ci

Just wondering, I am planning a purchasing a new car very soon. I can't decide on either the 2002 A4 1.8T Quattro or the BMW 325Ci. I drove the 1.8T w/ Quattro and Sport package, and it felt amazing. But from past experience with BMW, the performance is great and pretty much reliable.

I am at a stand still right now, Audi Quattro technology or BMW performance!?!? My thoughts are how is the reliability of the 1.8T engine and the severity of the problems with the A4 I have been reading in the forum? Please share your opinions. Thanx!!

Default I was also deciding and..

I of course chose the 1.8TOM. But, if you want a coupe the decision is simple. I have had my A4 since 02/01 and I have not looked back since. I look forward to every turn on the road. And if you do get an A4, definitely get the Sport package. Same eith the 325Ci. You can't go wrong with either one. But Audi gives you more for your money.

First of all,t he 1.8t engine from VW/Audi is one of the most reliable engines on the market considering it has a turbo. If it wasn't reliable, why would they put it in almost all their models(sans A8)?

Second, there are alot of standard features the Audi has that BMW does not:

First Aid Kit
Power Lumbar Support
Front Folddown Armrest
Rear Folddown Armrest
Subwoofer
Seatback Storage
Folding Rear Seat
Cargo Net
Front and Rear Floormats
Headlight Washers

Oh and a little thing they call quattro.

Default Thanx for the info .. but

Any major problems with the car so far, guys? I have read on the forum with the problems with the coil pack, some cars engine went dead? I just hope these are quick fix problems and back cruising the streets.

Anyone know the resale values of Audi's vs. Bimmers?

These problems are on a very small enthusiast base. % of problems is very small.

Default Does it snow where you live? (m)...

That's a significant factor, at least for me since I live in the North East hills of Connecticut.
