I can't decide either. I love the style of both. I have a 2000 323i, and would like to replace it with either an A4 1.8T or 325ci too. Consumer Reports review in the March issue really had me questioning the reliability on the A4.
The front-end on the 2003 325ci will be changed to match the sedan, so it will look slightly dated if you get a 2002. Then again this is minor, and a complete redesign doesn't come until 2006. A 2-door is always cooler than a sedan, and the BMW has great resale. But the Audi has so much style
The A4 does have the 4 years or 50,000 miles full maintenance, compared to BMW's 3 years or 36,000 miles. Plus it has great stylin outside and inside. I would almost be less inclined to customize it.
It's a tuff choice. Either one is a great car. I find myself going back and forth on which one I like best too. Good luck!
P.S. Have you looked at how much could be saved by buying in Canada? I'm considering that as well.

Good to hear that I am not the only one with this problem!!
If the 2003 325ci are going to change the front-end to look like the sedan, then I can say I am leaning towards the A4 then. But do you have any links for the 2003 BMW model information? Want to find out more before making a decision.
I live in Toronto, Canada, so I only know the Canadian prices for those two models. The base prices for the 325ci is $41,200 and for the A4 1.8T Quattro it is $37,225.
Good luck on your decision on the new car purchase. Let me know how everything goes.
Peace!!

You also save at least $2000 by doing Munich pick-up. Of course, you have to pay for the trip, but you also get to cruise at 120 mph on the autobahn (if you aren't superstitious about the break-in period).

The new red-orange-red striped taillights of the '02 3-series sedans just don't look right for some reason. Hopefully, BMW will leave the taillights of the coupe alone.

I have driven the car since Feb 1 and I love it. I did have the common probelm of the sunroof/moonroof whatever making the squeaking noise, but the dealer took care of that right away. Rock solid car!
