Default That's because the 0w-40 is thicker than 0w-30...

I only experienced valve chatter at startup when I first used M1 0w-30 in my car, and that was the old TriSyn formula which did not contain moly. But when I started using M1 SuperSyn, the moly coated up everything nicely, and no valve chatter ever since.... with 5w or 0w oil.

Default Says on the 0w-40 bottle "Fuel Efficientcy Formula", 5w-30 says New Car,10w-30 says Multi Vechicle

and 15-50 says Performance or something like that.

Default The heavier weights rob engine power. Best is to use the lightest to do the job. If someone wants M1

I say get the 5w-30. I know that is not ACEA yet, but it's my pick.
