Default An average oil - older formulation.

There are better, cheaper oils out there that meet the specs. German Castrol 0w30, M1 0w40 and others are better, IMO.

Good, basic. I'd stick with AMSoil if doing 10k changes.

Default audi junkie...would you recommend the amsoil euro formula over m1?

i just sent in my m1 0w40 w/about 6500 miles on it to blackstone for analysis, we'll see how it turns out...but i know your not a big fan of the 0w40 so is the amsoil euro formula better?

Default Keep in mind Amsoil is not warranteeable. They are a bit shady with their advertising...

stating their products exceed certain standards while failing to mention they never bothered to actually submit to the standard at all. cheers! Mike

Default oh, i didnt realize that...thought amsoil did meet all the specs and was in the approved oil list...

but yeah, i hadnt heard much good or bad about amsoil but always see it touted as "european car formula" so was wondering if they're are any specifics on it

Default sounds good, how many miles you think you will have on it? if you could get around 6500 that would

be cool to compare that with my m1 at roughly the same mileage and then could compare driving env., etc..
