Default Not on the list. They do excellent advertising though. Theyll even give you a website to further..

the propadanda (i mean advertising). It's like a big chain letter that never ends. I'm not saying the oil isn't good but who the heck knows with all that strange advertising. cheers! Mike

M1 0w-40 is great for a heavily modded car. Stock or chipped, 5w-30. The 5w-30 EP is now thicker.

Default sorry, ep? also, the higher or lower the weight is better suited for warmer or colder temps, or not

relevant? ie. 30 for summer months, 40 for winter, or vice versa, or doesnt matter

Default The higher weights generally give better HTHS protection...

hence the reason very few 30 weights meet the >3.5 HTHS requirement to meet Audi specs. They higher weights will do this at the expense of friction though which is why I am generally content with a 0w-40 which, from M1, is in essence just a very thick 30 weight or thin 40 weight. cheers! Mike

Winters, the oil gets less hot...less thin. Really, 1.8t does fine on synthetic 30 weights.

Default 30 ok even in HOT summer months? and can i expect to get similar mileage intervals out of it (5000+)

after i go throught the arx, im lookin for one single oil to go with all the time (used to be m1 0w40), so i guess i'll be good with the castrol 0w30

Default Syntec 0w-30 is on the thick end of SAE 30 at 12cSt and will not shear. Other 30s are thin at 10cSt.

Mobil 1 5w-30 EP is 12cSt, iirc. 12 is right on the 30/40 borderline. I would not go to a 10cSt oil in summer, with heavy mods. Reg Mobil 1 5w-30 is 10cSt. M1 0w-40 is a bit thick at 14cSt. Blending Mobil 1 for final visc is ok.
