Opinions please from those who know about injectors and chip tuning....
My '04 Audi 1.8T has been in the shop for a little over a week and I just found out that my car was sputtering due to horrible gas (should've given it a beano). J/K. The gas tank, sending units, fuel lines, fuel injectors, etc are full of this crap and are going to be replaced. Doesn't matter how much it will cost because it will be covered by my comprehensive insurance. THANK THE LORD! So here's where I ask your opinion. Since the insurance company will be cutting me a check for the repairs, should I go ahead and get aftermarket fuel injectors? I would also have to get chipped, correct? Is there another company besides apr that sells fuel injectors? I have a local upsolute chip tuner and would like to use him. Would he be able to tune his chip to match other fuel injectors?

Thanks...more .......
So I can just order the TT225 injectors from my dealer, get them installed, and then drive it over to my upsolute guy and I'll be set, right? The tech, who is chip friendly, said that the TT225 injectors will work and I might get a check engine light until I get my chip straight. Just looking for a second opinion.
Thanks

Your car will not drive right at all with different injectors...
You have to have the tuning for the injectors installed at the same time. The B6s we checked out at JHM would not even start on stock software with the TT225 injectors in there. The chip must be programmed specifically for the TT225s. cheers! Mike

My service manage at the dealer says that the parts guys won't order the TT225 injectors....
They only will order stock. Oh well, I was hoping I was going to get lucky and get over $1000 worth of mods installed for the cost of the upsolute chip.
