nice IS. What the hell it you? I'm about to trade in my 02 IS. I'll be upside a couple of G's but I'm sick of it. Feels like I'm driving a go-cart despite the fact it is a Lex.
I have a 04 A4 1.8tqm on order. BTW, I still lurk over at .NET all the time. Pretty good flames and usually some decent **** over there. Other than that, its useless. I like the new site layout though. Wish AW had it!

answers to your questions...
1) ACCIDENT: I was stopped in traffic when a Ford Explorer hit me going 65mph. So, I got slammed into a Tacoma in front of me. He then hit a Taurus in front of him. The Explorer, the IS300, and the Tacoma were all totalled. I walked away. Cops told me it was because of my car.
2) SWITCH FROM IS300 TO A4: You will not be disappointed with the Audi. I find it to be a nicer car in general. However, there are few things you will miss about the Lex... like the engine. The 1.8T is a bit of a dog. In general, the A4 will feel underpowered to you. Of course, you can get a chip. But even a chip won't make the 4-banger feel like a flat-6. You also might miss the "go-cart" feeling sometimes. I remember enjoying that part of it. The IS just seemed so quick and agile. The A4 could feel that way if it wasn't so slow. Of course, I only had my IS300 for 5 weeks, so I didn't even get a chance to feel sick of it. I wish Audi had a NAV like the IS300. I also miss the Graphite Gray Pearl (aka GGP) color. Dolphin Gray on the A4 is a big letdown compared to GGP. Hence, I just got silver. Overall the A4 is a better package. You will love the interior. And the body style is just so much nicer (IS300 is a little too ricey). Also, free maintenance does NOT suck. Lexus was very expensive for routine maint.
3) IS300.NET: I remember spending just as many hours there as I now do at AW. I used to think that AW should adopt the IS300.net format as well. But now I believe AW is sooo much better. I like how every user can host their own pictures in the picture poster. I always go into other people pic posters to see what they got. I also like how you can see all the responses to a thread w/out having to go into the thread and scroll through everybody's sigs. I love how you can track a thread so that the stuff you care about is always at the top. Trust me, you will assimilate!

Since you are going to end up modding it anyway. The Ultra Sport Package only makes sence if you are going to be happy with it stock (aka just like every other A4 w/ Ultra Sport).
