Default Ordered the crimp Tool...(DV Vacum Line size)

In light of the new dv from Audi, I ordered a crimp tool for the one time clamps being used on our cars. I found it on ebay for $15.00. Now I am looking for a propper size "oetiker" ear clamps to secure the vacum line to dv. Does anyone now the size of our vacum line (I guess they come in mm) and would be able to suggest the clamp size. I attached a link to a post from A6 forum where I found the tool and clamps. I am just not sure if our vacum lines are the same.
I found a few sources for the tool and the clamps. Wurth clamps are being used at the Audi dealer here, but Oetiker are just as good and cheaper.
The link in text here is for ebay item I bought.

Default That is the best way to go, I am going to check out the Wurth clamps also.

Currently I am using some tiny, itsy bitsy "Norma" brand worm screw drive clamps with rolled edges. About the same sized band as the crimp clamps. I will post a pic of them compared to the original clamps.

Default I am not answering for "aca", but for me, finding parts and hardware like the clamps,

is fun, and taking the effort to source and obtain them satisfies my tendency to feel compelled to use the best parts available, otherwise I don't feel part of a job/repair is properly complete. Maybe a minor case of OCD?

Default Classic symptoms of "OEM plus" fever. Unfortunately no known cure exists.

Or is that a fortunate thing....I get confused sometimes.

Default You are completely correct and I do agree with you......but similar

to diagnosticator1, I suffer from an advnaced stage of OCD. It goes very much in line with what I do for living. I am a pilot. So, attention to detail is my "problem". Obviously I am joking a little, but yes I am on the neat and "by the book" side. That does not mean I know a whole lot about cars. About airplanes, yes, but have long ways to go about cars.
Here is the detailed explanation why. Inintial motivation is to get an oem new dv and install it and use the tool and oem clamp to secure the vacum line to dv vacum port. Someone here mentioned ziptie after which diagnosticator1 replied to my question and I decided to experiment as I already have an older oem dv sitting and a peace of vacum line. As he said ziptie did not spread the presure even around the vacum line and I tried it and confirmed it.
I finaly did another search and belive it or not in this case due to recessed vacum port on oem dv and lack of space, oem/wurth/oetiker stepless eear clamp works the best. Found it and ordered it.
That is the long of it. In the end, the same tool is used for cutting these nasty little clamps(it takes a second)and we have a lot of them all around the engine compartment. If all the hoses are of the quality of '02 crankcase breather hose, it will pay itself off quickly.
