Default OT: check this out...gave notice at old employer..said last day was the 30th...
Three days pass..I get called into the Senior VP's office..they said due to competitive issues..they are paying me until the 30th..but I don't have to work there anymore. They escort me to my desk..fill some boxes with my stuff...and escort me to my car. (that was the bad part..since I couldn't say the normal goodbyes that I wanted to...Ugh)

So, after 6 months of employment ..I get a nice TWO WEEK paid vacation. Cool, it will really help me towards getting my house ready for sale/showing.

So, your gonna see my ugly mug around here a bit more frequently the next two weeks. :-)

Default happens quite often in larger companies. More so with layoffs.
But grats on leaving your job!

Default Sucks about not being able to say good bye, but at least you were leaving...
on your own. The layoff was just a slap in the face to get back at you for having the ***** to leave. Hope your new company treats you better.

Default I hate it when they escort you around...
They should have better trust in their employees and allow you to say your farewells to friends.

Default Sometimes the escort is necessary... I've seen some psycho co-workers get fired...
and I'm glad the additional security was around.

I couldn't say bye to lots of work friends. Ugh.
