So, I was visiting South Island where LOTR was filmed, enjoying the spectacular views whilst my foot was a little too heavy on the pedal.
The NZ Hwy Patrol radar-ed me doing 120kmh in a 100km zone. So, he hands me the tix, and tells me that the highways aren't as big and fast as California's freeways.. wtf? and tells me I can pay the fine @ any bank branch even on Saturdays.
So, I am back now in Cali, and received the summons in my mail. I figure their mail system will continue to send death threats over for sometime.
I think I will simply send the letter back stating "no resident/return to sender" and ignore this.
Question is:
1) Will this NZ authorities pursue this even if overseas?
2) Will DMV ever be informed of this? I will not be going to NZ again. Seen it all, did it all, so I don't really care.
Feedback and advice much appreciated. Thanks.

for example. my friend got a ticket in VA on his way to michigan... he never went to court, never did anything about it.
his driving priveledges in VA are now revoked... SO.... he just can't get caught driving there.
but nothing else happened

..but highly highly unlikely. I think they'd have to request an extradition from the US and have you brought back over to NZ for a trial. There's no way they'd do that to recover the amount of a speeding ticket.
Then again i'm no laywer, so what do I know.

Even if you go, unless you get pulled over again, I don't think anything can happen to you.
