Paging diagnosticator1 or anyone else that can help (vibration issues @ high gear, low rpm)...

The only way the mountings for the engine/trans could be implicated, is if the mounts have failed to the degree that the drive train in seriously misaligned, beyond the range the CV joints and drive shaft universals can accommodate. I don't believe the mounts are the problem.

I'm guessing you're telling me to be in 4th or 5th and see if I get any strange vibrations when letting off the gas? Or should I try lower gears?

with reverse torque from engine braking effect. Does not need to be for more than a few seconds,
and is not essential, just could provide more information. Use the same gears.
The reason it only has the shudder/vibration in 4/5, is because in those gears, the drive line torque is the highest for an equivalent power level transmitted through the drive line. Stated another way, for equivalent powers, at high shaft speeds, the torque value is comparatively low, and vice-versa. Shaft speed and shaft torque vary inversely for the same shaft power level.
